The process is boring. The websites are not.
Boring Web Designs is a small studio based in Northam, Western Australia, designing and building the visible part of the internet for small businesses locally and remotely. We specialise deliberately, so that the part we do is done properly.
WHY BORING?
Most small businesses were sold a digital ecosystem.
Most of them needed five good pages, clear services, and a button that works on a phone. Instead they were given platforms, integrations, dashboards, retainers and a login they have used twice.
We removed the complicated bits. What is left is a predictable process, a fixed scope, and considerably more attention on the thing customers actually see.
Because the scope should be clear.
The pricing should make sense.
The process should be predictable.
The buttons should work.
None of this should be remarkable.
The website should be remarkable.

If an element cannot explain what it is for, it does not survive the design review.

Mobile is the real design
Most of your customers are holding a phone. We put websites on phones. Incredible technology.

Accessibility is not an upgrade
Keyboard access, contrast, focus states and reduced-motion support are part of the build, not a line item.

Animation earns its place
Motion guides attention and gives feedback. When it stops doing either, we delete it.

Claude Design and ChatGPT Codex help us turn your brief into working concepts quickly. You direct the look and feel; we revise, review and test what is delivered.

We specialise in the visible part of the internet.
We design and build interfaces. We do not host, administer servers, build databases, run authentication, process payments or monitor security — and we will say so early rather than late.
We make the complicated part someone else's clearly documented responsibility. That tends to be cheaper for you and considerably safer for everyone.
